Stop Hunger Now

For those who are seeking a way to serve God in mission, here is a wonderful opportunity:

       The Greenville District UMC announces A Great Day of Service Stop Hunger Now packaging event on April 21, 2012 at Advent United Methodist Church, Simpsonville, 7:30 am to 4:30 p.m. Stop Hunger Now’s meal packaging program is a volunteer-based program that coordinates the streamlined packaging of highly nutritious dehydrated meals comprised of rice, soy, vegetables, flavoring and 21 essential vitamins and minerals. The meals are easily transported to crisis-burdened areas or supplied to school feeding programs around the world. The meals cost only $.25 per meal to create.          This event web site is live for sign ups. The day will be 12 hours with 4 three hour shifts beginning at 7:30 AM. Everyone will have something that they can do! For questions you may contact Virginia Crews at vcrews@bellsouth.net.
